The pre-school was founded over 40 years ago by Sheila Marshall and has continued to run under her management providing pre-school education for 2-5 year olds. Our pre-school is set within St Luke's church hall and consists of 2 classrooms, a sports hall and a fully enclosed outdoor playground.
Learning through play in a stimulating, safe and friendly environment.
Every child matters.
In 2011, 2016 and 2021 we were awarded "Outstanding" (with no recommendations!) by OFSTED who are responsible for standards in education. Read the full report on the information page here. Mrs Sheila Marshall (Manager) - Foundation Certificate and Cache level 3 Diploma Pre - School Practice.
Opened St. Luke’s Pre-school in 1978 and has continually run the group since the outset.
The Named person regarding: Health & Safety Policy, Equality of Opportunity & Positive Behaviour Management.
Paediatric First Aid trained - Food Hygiene Coordinator - Makaton - Anaphylaxis/Epipen /Jext trained.
Miss Charlotte Stacey (Deputy Manager, Senco) - BA (Hons) Childhood Studies (First) (Level 6) - Foundation Degree in Early Years - joined us in 2012.
Attended St. Luke’s Pre-School between 1996-1998.
Cache Advanced Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce.
Lead support worker for children with special needs and disabilities.
